Syk Signaling Protein

Catalog Number: EXA-X1460M

Details

Recognizes a protein of 72kDa which is identified as Syk, a protein tyrosine kinase (PTK). It reacts with both the un(der)phosphorylated as well as the phosphorylated form of Syk protein. MAb 4D10.1 is highly specific to p72Syk and shows no cross-reaction with ZAP-70 or other related protein tyrosine kinases. Syk protein is expressed in immature T cells, all B cells, basophils, hepatocytes, platelets, and erythrocytes. It functions in some T cell receptor signalling processes in addition to B cell receptor and integrin-mediated signal transduction processes. The 4D10.1 MAb supports in vitro kinase activity.
