Potent inhibitor of protein phosphatase type 1 (PP1) and protein phosphatase type 2A (PP2A). Does not inhibit tyrosine phosphatases or acid phosphates. Useful tool in studies of various cellular process including cell cycle, apoptosis, nitric oxide metabolism and calcium signaling in cell extracts as well as in intact cells.
