Details

This is a calcium-independent, phospholipid-dependent, serine- and threonine-specific enzyme. PKC is activated by diacylglycerol which in turn phosphorylates a range of cellular proteins. Expressed mainly in brain and, to a lesser extent, in lung, kidney and testis.
