CD8 is used for the identification of human T cells suppressor/cytotoxic expressing the 32 kDa M.W. surface antigen. CD2 is used for the identification of human T cells and subset of NK cells associated with the receptor for sheep erythocytes rosettes expressing the 45-50,000 M.W. surface antigen.
