Gi alpha1

Catalog Number: EXA-X1366M

Details

Recognizes a single band of 39-42kDa, identified as the G?i1 protein. This antibody is highly specific to G?i1 and shows no cross-reaction with transducin, G?o, G?i2, G?i3, or G?s. ADP-ribosylation of ?i1 protein does not alter the reactivity of R4.5 MAb. GTP-binding proteins (G-proteins) play a critical role in signal transduction by coupling receptors to effectors. The intracellular consequences of G-protein activation include second messenger generation (such as cyclic AMP, calcium and diacylglycerol), protein phosphorylation, ion channel activation, gene induction, cell growth, and differentiation.
