Human Blood-Brain Barrier Start Up Kit
Human Brain Microvascular Endothelial Cell, Human Astrocytes, and Human pericytes are isolated from human brain tissue. HBMEC, HA, and HP are cryopreserved at passage one and delivered frozen or in a T-25 Flask. Each vial contains >5 x 10^5 cells in 1 ml volume.
All Cells are characterized by immunofluorescent method with antibodies to vWF/Factor VIII and CD31 (P-CAM) and by uptake of DiI-Ac-LDL. HBMEC are negative for HIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast and fungi.
